T71 and Basket Esch meet in the Final

While the semi-finals of the Men’s championship were decided in two games, the Women had to go to a decisive Game three in both oppositions. And the final will be played between T71 and Basket Esch. T71 won against the Musel Pikes in the Game 3 which ends the season for the girls around Carine Cigrang in a disappointing way after losing the Cup Final and being eliminated in the semis. The injury of Christy Fisher is certainly a reason for this end. Basket Esch won against the young Etzella team and will have a chance to win the title again this year.

The schedule for the Finals is the following:

Saturday, 26th May at 20h30 Basket Esch – T71
Monday, 28th May at 18h00 Basket Esch – T71 (if needed)

Bridget Yoerger moves to Contern

The officials of the AB Contern have informed us that Bridget Yoerger will replace Amanda Stowe as foreign player in their roster for next seasons. The 25 years-old comes from Racing where she averaged 26ppg and 14rpg after playing for the University of South Dakota and two seasons in the Netherlands. Amanda Stowe will leave the club after 4 seasons.

Wolzfeld signs in Contern

Rene Wolzfeld who had just recently been suspended by his coach Rainer Kloss for the rest of the season, has decided to join AB Contern for the upcoming season. The 1.90m forward averaged 8.07 points this season for Sparta Bertrange.

David Controguerra to Dudelange

As we announced already a few days ago, T71 officially confirmed today, that David Controguerra will be a new player of their team next season. The 1m94 tall forward averaged 9.3 points per game last season for AS Zolwer.

Alex Tschiderer moves to France

Another young talent will move abroad. Alex Tschiderer from US Heffingen participated to a tryout for the French team of Elan Chalon recently and got offered the possibility to integrate their Centre de Formation.

Tschiderer who is born in 1996 and currently about 2m tall accepted this offer and will move to France for next season. The talented forward is the second member of last year’s U16 National Team to develop his talents outside of Luxembourg after the move of Thomas Grün to Urspring Academy last fall.

Samy Picard officially in Steinsel

Amicale Steinsel announced tonight officially that Samy Picard will be a member of their team next season. Picard played three seasons for TBB Trier and comes now back to Luxembourg.

Additionally, Steve Fischer who was loaned to Grengewald, will be a member of the Amicale Steinsel team next season as well as Sam Ney who played for Racing Luxembourg in the Nationale 2 over the last months.

No decision has been made yet about the future coach of the team nor on the foreign players.

Arre to Etzella

BBC Etzella today confirmed the acquisition from Billy Arre for the upcoming season. The US-American played the last 2 seasons for BBC Nitia and was in the media the last weeks due to his quadruple double. The 1,99m forward is 25 years old and will play the forward positions. After Jairo Delgado (T71), and Cédric Schroeder (Heffingen), Arre is the third new player in Ettelbruck for the next season.
